Dear Friends, I write you to tell you that after much hard work and negotiations, the "Phipps Gospel Sing" returned to WHMB, TV-40, Saturday night, January 17, 2009, at the regular hour: 8-9 p.m. CrownPointe Communities have graciously agreed to underwrite much of the broadcast costs.  This a  tremendous boost and we are grateful to them for their commitment. However, we still need help in production costs, plus what we have already incurred up to this point.  If you feel that you can help financially, it will be much appreciated. We have had so many inquiries through e-mails, letters, and telephone calls.  And I do thank each of you for your offers of support.  It will require each of us doing our part if we are to keep our brand of great gospel singing alive. Many promoters have stopped.  Radio stations that formerly had a Southern Gospel format are no longer doing so.  Thus, it behooves each of us to step up to the plate and do all that we can do, or else programs like the "Phipps Gospel Sing" will become just memories.
